Yesterday I went to the gas shop to inquire about the price for a deposit of a 15kg bottle. The lady informed me that a new bottle was 1900 baht. I then asked how much for a refill. 300 baht but that is included in the 1900 baht price (delivered).

So I asked the driver to come to my house to get 2 bottles which we no longer need. PTT brand. The guy comes & he sees my two bottles which were in a store room. Now the bases were not rusty & I had applied some spray paint to preserve them. He immediately told me this was not permitted. He then quoted me a price of 600 baht. I said fine & he took off. Later he came back & told me that they had decided to offer me 200 baht a piece for my 2 bottles. 400 baht total. But they charge the customer 1600 baht deposit per one bottle. I dare say the shop made a tidy profit.

Normally when I get screwed I expect a kiss. Not this time.
