A Thai friend with an Israeli stamp in his passport needs to make a trip to Iran.

Does anyone know if the Passport Office will issue him a second passport? He wants to keep his current one valid as it has visas to the US, UK, etc. that are still good in it.

Thanks.

Thanks, lopburi.

When my friend did that in the past, immigration stapled his old passport to his new one -- which wouldn't be good going into Iran with an Israeli stamp.

Perhaps they don't require you to fasten them together.

tons of thais go on from israel back to thailand and then to work in dubai, libya and other destinations, havent heard of any problems... working thais here cant get the usual paper slip in lieu of entry stamp, since they get full page visa/work permits every year they are here...

nver thought of that before, good question actually. probably since most thais with israeli stamps are labourers, the 'OTHER' nations might not bother with not liking the israeli visa stamps in the passports since labourers are laboureres. not too many thais here as tourists. most are workers and some women and few men are here as wives/husbands.
