Hi

I am a 32 year old UK Passport holder. Until recently i was getting a 1 year multiple entry visa from Hull, UK. Yes i know, they were wrong to do so and now it has stopped. So i got a new (new to me anyways) 6 month 3 entry visa.

My problem is this time of year i travel a lot... i haven't had this visa a month and when i return to Thailand next week i will be using my 3rd entry up!

So, my question is, from Hua Hin (and i also travel to Ubon Ratchathani from time to time) where would be the best/easiest/quickest place to get one of these visas without paying crazy cash on flights/visa itself etc.

Also, if i was to use a tourist on arrival visa is there still a rule that you can only do this so many days in a year (like if you had been in Thailand for 200 days from 360 on this kind of entry visa you get stopped)? And does anyone know the maximum length of time your return ticket can be set for on this kind of arrival visa (I would think 30 days right)?

Thanks in advance!

You are not likely to get such a visa closer than Oz and maybe not even there. Most local Consulates, if they would even issue 3 entry, will have a 3 month validity.

There is no current limit on use of 30 day visa exempt entry. The requirement is onward travel proof within that time period (and normal 10k financial proof if asked).

The rule for how many days one stayed on "visa exempt" entries went away almost 3 years ago. If traveling within the region, I have never been asked for proof of onward travel, but I think more likely to have a problem with the airlines rather than immigration.

Yep OK thanks noted.

So sounds like a 3 month single entry is the best i can get for now.... ok forward planning!

They have thrown the max day rule out have they? That's greats.. yes i believe if you are traveling by any means other than plane you don't need onward travel information... unfortunately all my work is Taiwan China etc..
