Mouse Ate My Wiring!

Featured Replies

my fortuner went to toyota for a regular service the other day

i told them a few lights were out and could they check them?

turns out a rodent had eaten some of my cabling

toyota said no thank you to fixing as i have non standard head lights and lots of other trickery so they excused themselves

so faced with a dilemma i sought out an expert in eagle eyes headlights and add on LED electrics and found BP AUTOSHOP

i was encouraged that they had all manner of after market lighting on display and he looked and said no problem, can do!

he said he take maybe 3- 4 hours to rewire and get it all working again

he said he will have to remove the front end to get at everything

he thought about 2000 baht as he thought a new Halo relay was need at 1000 baht

so i left it with him this morning at 10 am after leaving photo instructions and thai written by my good lady

came back at 3-30 pm and it was all done!

it looks better than new , he had removed and dismantled the Eagle Eyes headlights, cleaned them inside and out, sorted out all the wiring and covered them in cable shielding to deter more rodent attacks

the bill was 2400 which included a new Halo relay and some new Leds i had replaced

they don't speak so much English but between my wife, his wife, my photos and lots of pointing and good humoured gesturing we got there

he is a young man but is knowledable and very enthusiastic, and he fills you with confidence

i have ordered some more work to be done based on this result

frankly i am delighted and wanted to tell you all about it

i can see this little corner shop becoming custom central in pattaya

he deserves a little publicity in my opinion

he is located on the left side of sukhumvit driving from Pattaya Klang to Pattaya Nua

his shop is on the corner of the last soi before the lights at Pattaya Nua

its easy to see at hight due to the Led window display

parkings limited so take care on the corner

if you want those aftermarket LED daylight running lights fitted, this is the place, he has many options on offer

i for one will be back, its great little shop, with great service and is highly recomended to all on TV

Yep, I'll also vouch for BP Autoshop - have used them for fitting 4 cars with Xenon's and CCFL's now, never a problem and always good prices. Have used them in both BKK and CNX.

It's good to hear a good news story occasionally they're so rare and yes it's good of you to give him public cudos as he sounds like he deserves to grow. His prices for that amount of work seem unrealistically low though I think he needs a slight increase to be honest so he can establish himself from the riff raff.

I hope, besides the additional work, you may have slipped a little extra for his thorough and timely service, I sure would have..

Well done for getting it done right and for a good price. I know that on a Fortuner to get to the light's you have to take the grill off as well as all the front panel mile's of buggering about. Thank's for the tip, I need to get my spot's done so when I'm down there in a few week's I'll give them a try.
