I've had a couple of non-immigration type O visas and my current one is about to expire. I'm going to do a visa run and get the last 90 day extension.

I've got them from England in the past but am not planning to back at the moment. Is there anywhere near to Thailand where I can get another non-immigration type O visa?

If not I think an Education Visa is my only option for longish term stay. Can I apply for one whilst I am in the country, still on my current non-imm o visa or do I have to get one before I enter Thailand?

Thanks.

A non-O based on what? There are no consulates that will issue a non-O based on friends anymore.

Based on for example marriage or retirement there are options, but not that much for a mutiple.

As Mario rightly states it depnds on the reason or basis for the Non O, you need to give more info.

Also what do you call "longish" ? a double entry tourist visa extending each entry by 30 days would give you 6 months assuming you no longer qualify for a Non O.

Good luck

My farang partner's employer wrote a letter for me to use in my application saying that I was her dependent. Will that no longer get me a non-immigration O?

O-dear.

You are talking about a partner, so I guess it is not a legal marriage. In addition it must be between a man and a woman.

Not totaly sure if Hull will not issue in the circumstance that you have a civil partnership, but here in the region you will not get a non-O based on that. Let alone a multiple. In that case the Ed-visa might be the best long term solution, unless you are 50 or older.

Yes we are not married. If we were there would be no problem as I would come under their visa/work permit. We are man and woman and I am under 50.

I've got a visa of this type from Hull and Birmingham in the past but from what you say it sounds like they have toughened up on reasons for giving them out.

Do you think it would be worth trying somewhere like Hong Kong or KL or just save my time and money and get the Ed Visa?

Thanks.

In the region I give you little chance. Your best bet would be to contact Hull and ask them about it, if you have a civil partnership that is. Suspect it will be no, but you never know.

For longer term I would advise going the Ed-visa route.

Thanks, looks like its a Education Visa for me.

Unless I can post the passport to Hull from Thailand and try it rather than flying back personally?

You cannot apply for a visa while inside Thailand itself.

Hull only accepts applications from within Europe, but contact them first. Their policy might have change to UK only.
