I think Ill need about 16 sheets if 4 x8 B)

Thanks for any ideas Im out of LOS at present and net seems to mainly BKK Pattay sources

i.e. Plexiglas or Lucite for us yanks.

40 mm? Wow! Bullet proof? 20 mm would be pretty heavy weight.:jap:

I must admit I haven't seen heavy Perspex or tinted glass of that size (8'x4') around town though.

I'd see if I could order it through a glazier?

How much are you expecting to pay? Acrylic sheet is not exactly cheap: 1-1/2" Clear Cast Acrylic Sheet 24" x 24" Price: $195.00: in the US for example. 1.5" (38.1mm) 4' x 8' close to $1,560.00.

If you Google Acrylic sheeting in Thailand you will get a bunch of hits, mostly based in Bangkok.

You could contact a company called Thai German Speciality Glass. They will make a laminate for you to order but it aint cheap My guess at today's rates would be around 5K/M2 they usually only need fifteen days and can drill holes to suit your brackets. 2 x 8mm skins with a 1mm laminating film between will be more than strong enough but beware as you will not be able to cut it once its done.

Sorry, you'll have to Google the contacts

Mulford plastics has an agent in Bangkok, not sure on acyrlic prices but a 40mm x 2400mm x 1200mm sheet of polycarbonate will cost 120,000b.

Could we possibly draw the conclusion that the notoriously typographically challenged Johnny may have meant 4mm?

It seems a more logical size for the job.

Apologies if I'm wrong...
