Walking Stick Rubber Tip

Featured Replies

Need a rubber tip for traction to go over the ground end of a wood walking stick, which will be used by an elderly person on both smooth, and rough surfaces.

Bought a replacement rubber ferrule for a (camera) monopod at Chiang Mai Plastic (Warrowat Market area) a few years back. Went there on a whim thinking, "No way are they going to have this." Surprise! Surprise! I will never doubt CM Plastic again. They have everything there -- if you can find it.

Tesco sell rubber solid washers for the bottom of Furiture legs .These are self addisive but I would get some super glue to stick them on the bottom of a walking stick . Just trim the excess rubber with craft knife . If you don't want to fit & attach yourself then a shoe repair man will prob do for 20bt

small rubber cups of various sizes to fit on chair and other legs are available in CM hardware stores and Home Pro, might have to look around a bit to find the size you need but various sizes are available

I'm surprised nobody has suggested a Pharmacy. I buy my tips at Pharma Choice. :)

The probelm with rubber "cups" from hardware stores is that they are thin. As the guy said above, try a pharmacy, specifically one that sells wheel chairs and walkers. You should be able to see wheel chairs in the window. If you can't speak Thai, just go in, find a walker and point at the rubber foot. They normally have a couple of sizes. These are black, clunky looking, but very heavy duty.

Yes, Pharma Choice. From the original post it's not completely clear if only a tip is required or the full strick. Either way, Pharma Choice has both.

good advice--maybe up Suthep Rd. on the left, across the street from the Hospital(s). They seemed to be very competitive. I was pricing ankle braces......very helpful.
