Why is it now possible to enter a name of your choice upon entering chat?

If there was any need to be anonymous why go in in the first point and more seriously, what is to stop people causing potential havoc by impersonating another member, or mod even?

This happened to Ice Maiden the other night.

Just a thought, but a sensible one for once eh.

Only Admins and some mods are protected. I'd say if particular regular acts out of the ordinary then probably isnt them.

There are quite a few regulars in there (of a morning, anyway). They'll be able to suss out imposters within a few minutes. I agree it will be better when entry controll is instigated.

I know who he is. His membership name is "yorkie" but he's too much of a lazy bugger to type all the letters.
