are you a TESL teacher?

has to with standardized symbols to represent sounds. .. due to the variety of sounds produced by English letters .. / p as in put vs the p in ph as in phonic ..

or as in phuque .. :o:D as opposed to puck :D

I'm taking an on line class & this program has helped me get the lesson done.

I have an internet friend that teaches in China .. he refers to this process as phonemics also.

i was under the impression this is a common TESL tool ??

i'm a raw rookie in this field & have only taken this on line class .. an on site class has to be easier .. :D
