Thappraya And Thepprasit Road Intersection Built To Last...

Featured Replies

The road has collapsed just before the Hanuman roundabout.

Indeed. It's a good 3 feet across and nearly as much deep. And it looks like underneath the asphalt there is just sand rather than hardcore.

Nice big swamp directly in front of Immigration on Soi 5 also (where the water from the market drains down to, if you can call that draining).

Apparently Soi 5 is the drain for 2nd Road Jomtien near the Rompho market - after the river flows down onto Beach Road it took out the beach walk way, a lamp standard, tree and the beach in that area.

Cool. It lasted about 16 days then. Time to start taking construction bids so the same firms are involved again.

At least the part I use (from the Grand Condotel intersection to Pratumnak Rd.) is still in relatively good shape. I'm hoping for at least another month of smooth driving.

:)

They fixed that overnight but down by the moobahn they still have the sandbags blocking off one side of the dual carriageway from Soi Wat Boon on.

Only about half. Two nights ago a very drunk Thai racing down the road hit them wrecking his pick-up truck!

Anyone see the HUGE hole in the middle of the road a few days ago? Was the size of a bus tire. Like a big sink hole.

That road is simply cursed.

Was that at the Soi Wat Boon junction?

I see there is some gravel fill in the middle of the road there now.

Edit: and they've done something about the potholes outside that condo block.
