Late For Tourist Visa Extension

My Tourist visa needed to be extended on Saturday. I guess I should have done it Friday. Will I be charged for 2 days@ 500 baht per day if I go in on Monday morning ? More to the point, if the rules state I should not be charged, do the Immigration officers ever try to "put one over on you" and keep the tea money ?

There will be no problem or charge if done Monday.

Since it is now expired how will they extend it, maybe you can pay them a bit of tea money to ignore that little bit of a problem. Should have went several days in advance as you do not lose anytime your extension starts on the last day of the visa. That is when you can make it in to get it extended.

If your stay ends on a weekend or holiday you present yourself the next workday and there is no overstay or charge involved and normal extension can be made.

Yes best to do early but there is no need for any bending of laws or tea money in such a case.
