Clutch Adjustment On Cvt Bikes

It maybe because i don't understand how they work, but it's not obvious to me how to adjust the clutch on these things.

firstly, the lady's fino needs quite a bit more revs compared to my click before the clutch engages, and when going up a hill, it tends to slip rather than engage it's been like this since new. side-by-side myself on the fino (1 person) and 2 people on the click on the same hill, the click just powers up the hill, the fino has the power but the clutch slips... the bike actually stopped moving.

i had the bike in the shop today for its 4k service, but the moment i tried ask about it, their ability to understand english ceased and weren't being very helpful.

on the semi-autos, the clutch adjustment is obvious and easy, though i can't seem to see where the adjustment is on the autos. where is it, or do they work differently to the semi-autos?

cheers.

There is not a clutch. It is pullies and the engagement depends on RPM's and could be adjusted with weights.

I got a new PCX and my wife a Yamaha Mio 125 and the service between the two is like day and night.

The Yamaha would only go 88 and I was told this is normal. Though my friends does 110 kph

after 1 year, the Mio has 4000, the PCX 22000km my wife like the PCX better and the Mio is for sale cheep

A little bit a sunday googling tells me there is no easy adjustment, the way to adjust the clutch is dismantle it to replace the springs inside. it could be the belt slipping too. either way something is slipping if the engine is revving and the bike stops moving.

something isn't right and i don't know enough about it. i guess i need to find someone to look at it.

cheers.

slipping belt gets a hard glazed surface so it can slip even more, to be replaced. clean or replace variator same time
