Tabian Bahn Blue Book Re Residency

Recommended Posts

Went to sign my blue Tabian Bahn for condo purchased in preperation for anticipated progress of 2006 residency application and was told that foreigners cannot sign blue Tabian Bahn book. Have to wait for residency accepted and the will be given yellow Tabian Bahn book to sign. Is this correct?

Yes it is correct. I have a yellow book as well, until I get PR or Thai Citizenship I cannot have a blue one.

When your residency is permitted and authorized you need to get the yellow book changed at your local office.

Also get a mod to move this to the correct forum, don't know why you posted in Internet and computers!

Totally correct. The blue book, is exclusively for Thai nationals. Some can get a yellow book. I have lived here since 1989, and have never needed a yellow book.

That is not correct. All houses in Thailand, whether they are occupied by Thai or foreign national, should have a blue book. This book is the registration of the house itself. If the house do not have any Thai nationals living there, e.g. when a foreigner leases the place, the blue book will be provided without any names.

The yellow book is, on the other hand, an official document that proves the foreigner's address, but it is not the actual house registration document.
