DocW
There isn't any REAL Muay Thai here. It is all staged. Not like Lumpini in Bkk. Actually I could be wrong and stand corrected if anyone else knows if this has changed recently?
Jebhead
There's a place on Theppasit that has Muay Thai boxing, don't think it's staged but not sure? They have a lot of Farang vs Thai matches there. Not sure exactly where it is either. Not really much help at all - lol JH
luudee
The place on Therprasit appears to be real to me. I've been there a couple of years back. The "grown-up" fights where "interesting", with blood splatting all over the place, and you could see the guys where really getting hurt ... The thing I didn't like was the small kids (5 years old and up) fighting. One little boy was crying, and was definitely not "in to it", way to young in my opinion ... When I was there they only had 3 "real" fights, and the rest where children ... I don't remember the exact amount I payed but it was expensive, around 1000 baht per seat. They advertise alot on walking street, look at the electric poles and in some bathroom of various venues, they have posters with show times and fighters ... Cheers, rudi Edited September 16, 2011 by luudee

lor
I think the boxing place is on Soi 2. Walking up Thepresit towards Sukemvit turn left into soi 2, there is a barbers on the right (cheap and very good) and the boxing place is a little further on the left. Cheers, rudi What's the location on Theppasit rd? JH It’s on Thepprasit Soi 2, opposite the night market. You’ll see their parking area on the left halfway in on the soi, coming from Thepprasit. Been a few times, don’t remember exact pricing, but as others mentioned, about 1000-1500 Baht. They have two tiers of seating, ringside and bleachers.
