From Samui, the cheapest will be a round trip with Firefly to KL, but you need to stay overnight. Won't bother looking at the costs as I am sure a flight from BKK will work out cheaper.

Take the bus into Malaysia and fly back to Thailand (Samui?) from KL.

Is it the 30 day visa you are after and nothing else? And will you based on Samui at the time you need it?

From Samui you can do a land crossing into Malaysia for the 15 day visa, it will take you a day to do the round trip and cost maybe THB 2,000.

I will enroll in a Thai school for ED visa, but in the meantime, I'd like to have a 30 day entry. 15 is too much.

And yes I will be in Koh Samui at this time.

But if it is easier/cheaper, I can go first to BKK by VIP bus, as being a few days in BKK is always pleasant.

International flights from Samui - limited to Firefly and Bangkok Airways at very high prices.

Getting to Bangkok and then doing an international flight would make sense. Although it may be possible to arrange a tourist visa for perhaps 60 days from outside Thailand, and using a visa run sevice to do that by bus? Can't help with that information I am afraid.

If u do go to Bangkok Bkk-Phnom Penh r/t for about 5,000 r/t

Bus to Phuket (5 hours) and get a flight out of there to Penang. KL, Sing, where all places u can get a tourist visa in 1 day, ( two night stays)

I will see departures from Phuket.

But I prefer 30 days entry for sure, free, instead for "maybe" tourist 2 month entry, paid, and not sure at all as I already have 3 tourist visa in my passport, allmost in a raw..
