Hi,

I'm applying for a multiple entery Non OVisa at the Thai Consulate in Hull, to see my daughter in Thailand and I'm not sure what to put asmy employment status.

I've lived in Thailand for over sixyears and the last 3 years I've been teaching and had a work permitwith a 1 year visa. My school contract, work permit and 1 year visaended on

the 31st of May 2011, when I told the school I was coming back to the UK to see my family for 3 months.

Now that timeis up and I want to go back to Thailand but I have no job to go backto so I'm applying for a multiple entry Non O visa.

If I put I'm unemployed on theapplication, will it go against me?

Is it better to havea job or put that you have a job, when applying for a multiple entryNon O visa?

Thanks in advance for your help

Kind regards

How old are you Garry? If over 50, you could state you are retired, still get an 'O' and if you plan on re-entering teaching in Thailand, you have the appropriate visa. I doubt that the Hull consulate will refuse a visa because you are unemployed. They don't ask for employers contact information so you could say you were still employed; they aren't going to check. Now, if you wrote 'unemployable' they may have a problem with that!

Good luck!

You are applying for a Non Imm O Visa to visit your daughter.

I don't really think it matters what you put down for employment.

From the Hull website.

Thanks for your answers guys. :-)

I'm 37 years old and yes my daughter is Thai. I think I'll just put self employed down. It does ask for employers name aswel.
