Registration And Picking Own Number

Kawasaki where, please? That's a total rip-off.

I can't remember the exact figures but I had to pay a few hundred baht for registration, 200 extra so Kawasaki would do it for me (beats standing in line for a few hours!), and I think 300 or so for the number I picked.

That was at Kawasaki Chiang Mai. I am pretty sure it was less than 1000 baht total.

This is Kawasaki in krabi town as it is only a small shop they have to get the bike sent over from surratani he was talking about a charge of 2500 bht for this which I refuse to pay

At the moment have offered them 160 k for bike ,insurance and registration with me picking number the shop are thinking about it this is for a Kawasaki 250 klx

Probably get the misses to ring the surratani shop on Monday to see what prices they are quoting

Ok

Spoke to surrathani shop they tell us registration is 2000 bht that's without picking your own number and she confirmed there is also a 2500 bht charge for sending the bike over to the krabi branch

I have never heard of them charging extra because they don't have the bike in stock and I think the 2000 registration is still expensive

Think I will try an email to kawa hq to see if I can get any answers

I have picked my own numbers for two bikes and a car at the local DLT. I was shown the available numbers in a large book and told to choose my own. There was no cost at all and no suggestion of tea money.

my experience as well.

Like I said it's 300 Baht in CM. Official, not tea money.

But maybe different offices have different policies on that?!

In Phuket and Prechuap KK, its 640 baht to replace bike plate and you get to pick number/wait for your number to come up on lists. But new reg, its not supposed to happen
