Phuket To Suratthani

Featured Replies

:o Some travel information needed if anybody can help. My wife and I are flying into Phuket and will land at approximately 6 am on a Sunday morning. We need to travel to Suratthani (family), what would be the best mode of transport at that time of morning on a Sunday ??

I have been told to take a airport limosine as it is safer than a aircon bus, I understand there are no flights to Surat from Phuket. Does anybody know the price of a Limosine, considering the petrol prices nowadays. Or if one cought a aircon bus, where does one catch a bus to Surat and what are the times of departure on a Sunday.

Any help would be appreciated. :D

You can get a bus from Phuket Town but that is a 45 minute bus/taxi ride down south. If you have enough for a car full of people you might consider taking a limo. It will take a few hours to get to Surat Thani though so could cost a bit.

You can get a bus from Phuket Town and this PASSES the airport turn-off, saving the 45 minute bus/taxi ride into town, but of course may be (rather) full, plus the turn-off is still too far off from the airport to go just walking

You must have some rason to fly into there as there is:

an excellent train kk-stop HuaHin-Surat

an airport in Surat (nearby) but served by THAI only.
