i had a freind export a bike to the uk once, and he said never again ! , he had to pay import duty and VAT when it arrived in the UK, and he said it would have been cheaper just to buy one in the uk

also , a half decent vespa will cost you 60 - 90 K in thailand , and you can buy the same in the uk for around the same price or cheper

how does that work because if the bike was bought second hand then the VAT would be lower?

what about a scooter that has been bought 2 years ago . harldy been used. changed names a few times in the book. maybe worth about 10 k thai baht. then shipping cost. sure u could share a container with someone. then VAT on 200 quid. not sure.

like someone said in exporter might be mroe helpful.
