Thai Passport For My Half British Half Thai Daughter

Featured Replies

Hello i need some info on getting my daughter a Thai passport.I have applied for the British passport and now need a Thai one for her as me and my Thai wife and our daughter together are planning on coming to the UK on a family visa.I am in th UK and i went on the mfa website which says both parents need to be present for the passport application or 1 parent and a notarized letter giving consent for the application. As i am in the UK my Thai wife will go and apply but what will she need to show for the application? ie a copy of my British passport and a letter giving my consent?Any info on this from someone who has done this as i cant go out yet and want it all done whe i go out in January time.

Thanks in advance

samsong

Get your wife to go to the local passport office and ask. Leave time so that if she goes with documents the first time and finds she needs something else you have time for a second bite.

Thai bureaucracy is so variable at the local level that you could not 100% rely on a TV answer anyway, unless you happened accross someone who had done it at the same office (you don't specify where) within the last few months.
