Every year, it is big fun and makes many of us feel happy (as it proves that for once in life, we've made the right decision ...

well, at least if the survey has been done professionally and wasn't paid for :whistling:) to read about:

- Suvarnabhumi Airport being one of the best worldwide,

- Thailand being one of the cheapest and best tourist destinations,

- one of the greatest expat and retirement destinations

and so many others.

However, living and trying to work here made me come up with ideas for alternate 'surveys', feel free to add your own ideas:

  • Happiness of self-employed workers ('1 man companies') about the requirements and obstacles they have to face when trying to set up their business in Thailand compared with neighbouring countries
  • Happiness with police support on crime investigation (aka 'law enforcement' apart from checking motorbike helmets) in TH compared with other countries
  • Tourists treated as assets rather than cows (without rights) to be milked
  • Long-term perspective in businesses everyone has to deal with - instead of having to face pure rip off mentality
  • Fairness in products and service pricing (in opposite to double pricing, in Thailand even imposed officially by government, police etc.)
  • Road quality compared with neighboring countries (TH continuously falling behind it seems to me)
  • Pedestrian friendliness of boardwalks (if they even exist)
