Some of the money could be raised by adding 100baht to the barfines in Pattaya.:whistling:

There is no way the military will accept a cut in its budget, although a 20% cit in military spending would do the trick. Eliminate the perks of free flights for VIPs on Thai airways, slash the TAT budget , crack down on government procurement kickbacks and you can easily raise the money.

How about making Taskin pay the taxes owned ? would do a lot of good too. I do agree about cutting the military budget.

Thing is no matter who is in government they all feed from the corruption, some more as other (Thaksin).

Or let Thaksin pay his tax like he should. This would pay the bill easily.

The government allocated THB 410 billion for a five month rice price fledging scheme (Oct 7th 2011 - Feb 28th 2012). With a larger part of crops flooded surely some of that money could be diverted? Worse case save some money on the tax reductions for (not so poor) first time home buyers?

sorry if i have mistaken on the number but i thought i read yingluck was worth 400 odd billion and abhasit was worth even more ,regardless of the figures

theres no chance any of them are going to buy food for the poor or the homeless ,it will be another excuse to take more from the people who have the least and the greedy fat cats at the top will feel good about themselves when they are shouting for donations to help their flood afflicted countrymen

You are way off base. Yingluck was worth some 400+ million Baht iirc and Abhisit less than most any ministers in the current government, at some 60 million Baht.

Science minister at some 950+ million Baht.

Or 30% income tax on all donations from lonely men in UK etc sending money to their girls in Thailand?
