Hi. I have a non o visa. Obtained in my country with being married to thai used as my reason for applying for one. I supplied wifey's ID and our marriage certificate. I just realized that I need to get the 400,000 baht required in the bank like yesterday in order to qualify the money as being seasoned. I could sell some gold and put the money in, but the timing is not good on the gold.

Question: Can I run this visa out in 3 month increments entering on the "enter before" date on my last entry? and still get a year or 15 months out of it...

or...

can I get the money in the bank today, and Immigration will give a couple of days leeway on the seasoning???

Thank you for the quick replies. :)

next question...

if I can do entries every 90 days, during my next 90 days, can I apply for the extension?

If I do not apply for the one year extension now, can I apply for it at the end of this visa??

I understand (I think) the concept of getting a one year extension and then renewing that after one year. If I do not get my one year extension properly, will that mean that next year, I am stuck getting a new visa as opposed to renewing a one year extension??

Shit.... what was I thinking??? (oh...I wasn't)

If you have a multi entry visa you can use of 90 day stays and extend during the last 30 days of any entry.

You can also obtain a 60 day extension of stay that would allow more time for money in bank on basis of visiting wife.

oh....thank you.

So I can transfer money from home next week, go to the border at the end of this 90 days, get a new 90 days, apply for extension in the last 30 days of that 90 days, and at the end of the extension, apply for a new extension, eliminating the need to go and get a new visa.... right???

Yes I realize this. Hence the little crisis today. Just enjoying my life when I remember that I need to get the money thing done. I have 2 months from yesterday on the current 90 days of this non o. I should have done the money thing 2 weeks ago.

My last post...is it correct?

Thank you

You do have a "M" multi entry visa valid for one year from date of issue? If that type of visa is still valid you would get a new 90 day stay on any entry.

yes, this is a multi entry visa

and in any 90 day stay, I can extend the permission to stay for the remainder of the visa, making it possible to renew the extension of stay to one more year...correct?

You can extend your stay during the last 30 days of any entry and it will be one year from that end of entry date (has nothing to do with visa validity once making extensions of stay).
