Auto gates?
I might be behind the times a little, but last time I left Swampy, it was 2022 with a re-entry, that said, I am off again soon, with a re-entry. can you please advise: 1) What are these new Auto gates and what are they used for ? 2) Should I go through them ? 3) Do they stamp your Passport ? 4) I will be travelling with Thai family, so can they also go through these new Auto gates, if I can ? Apologies for all the questions, but trying to stay relevant as I age and the world keeps turning, faster than I can keep up with it. -

Israel Hamas War the Widening Middle East Conflict
Nope. All are long time zionists and committed to the existence of the State of Israel. It is not a political letter, nor does it attack Netanyahu. The letter makes clear their support and love for Israel. Their concerns are motivated by humanitarian empathy, the impact upon democracy in israel, and the need to stop the ongoing loss of life. As far as letters go, it isn't radical and reflects the views of a large number of Israelis. It's actually, nothing that has not already been expressed by multiple MKs in the Israeli parliament. It is rather touching that this letter was issued during the Passover holiday, the remembrance when their Lord delivered them out of slavery in egypt and brought them back to their land of Israel. Jesus last supper was a Passover seder. We write as representatives of the British Jewish community, out of love for Israel and deep concern for its future. The inclination to avert our eyes is strong, as what is happening is unbearable, but our Jewish values compel us to stand up and to speak out. This is what we see: the last 18 months of heartbreaking war have shown us that the most successful way of bringing the hostages home and creating a lasting peace is through diplomacy. By the end of the first phase of the second ceasefire and hostage release deal, 135 hostages had been released through negotiation, just eight by military action, with at least three tragically killed by the Israel Defense Forces. America, Qatar and Egypt again stood as guarantors of the release of all remaining hostages in the second phase of this deal, in return for Israel withdrawing from the Gaza Strip. A strong plan for the reconstruction of Gaza was approved and supported by the international community, to be managed by a Palestinian leadership, which would be a viable alternative to Hamas, financed by the Arab League. At that moment, the Israeli government instead chose to break the ceasefire and return to war in Gaza with the “Itamar offensive”, so-called as it was Itamar Ben-Gvir’s condition for returning to the coalition, thus enabling the Israeli government’s budget to be passed within the tight deadline needed to avoid an election. Since then, no hostages have returned. Hundreds and hundreds more Palestinians have been killed; food, fuel and medical supplies have once again been blocked from entering Gaza; and we are back in a brutal war where the killing of 15 paramedics and their burial in a mass grave is again possible and risks being normal. Such incidents are too painful and shocking to take in, but we know in our hearts we cannot turn a blind eye or remain silent at this renewed loss of life and livelihoods, with hopes dwindling for a peaceful reconciliation and the return of the hostages. This most extremist of Israeli governments is openly encouraging violence against Palestinians in the West Bank, strangling the Palestinian economy and building more new settlements than ever. This extremism also targets Israeli democracy, with the independence of the judicial system again under fierce attack, the police increasingly resembling a militia and repressive laws are being advanced as provocative partisan populism is bitterly dividing Israeli society. Israel’s soul is being ripped out and we, members of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, fear for the future of the Israel we love and have such close ties to. Silence is seen as support for policies and actions that run contrary to our Jewish values. Led by the families of the hostages, hundreds of thousands of Israelis are demonstrating on the streets against the return to war by an Israeli government that has not prioritised the return of the hostages. We stand with them. We stand against the war. We acknowledge and mourn the loss of Palestinian life. We yearn for the “day after” this conflict when reconciliation can start. As we mark the festival of freedom with so many hostages still in captivity, it is our duty, as Jews, to speak out. -

The colonial boot of racism which marched though the "British Empire" were worn by those with titles like "Sir" and "Lady" and "Lord," not by the average bloke on the street who was press-ganged into force conscription as cannon-fodder for the empire. And it is not those with the titles like "Sir" and "Lady" and "Lord," as pasty white as they too may be, who are the targets of this new dystopian discrimination and lawfare being wielded against the indigenous Anglo-Saxon and Celtic populations of the old British Isles. The average citizens of "Britain" weren't the ones who conspired to enslave the "savages" of the British Empires rule. It was the ancestors of these same elites who now are seeking to, quite literally, enslave and marginalize all of the average white citizens of the UK. In the name of diversity. It the name of "karma." Surely now in this new day and age, only people of color from distant lands should be allowed to be raised in rank and stature and awarded titles like "Sir" and "Lady" and "Lord." "Eh? No, it's the average white citizens of the UK who are being targeted by the ancestors of the same people with titles like "Sir" and "Lady" and "Lord" and whom crushed indigenous populations for the "British Empire" who now aspired to do the same to their own white citizens -- in the name of "diversity" and "democracy" of course. It is Orwellian.- 1

Man Kicks Over Motorbike in Rage, Now Charged with Five Offences - video
It's obviously some issue where being the only "good" foreigner compensates for some other personal short-coming. He perceives Thailand and Thai people as being superior to the West and Western people, then feels special and superior to most other foreigners as he imagines he is the one foreigner who treats the Thais properly, who knows their customs, who is accepted by them. It's a status thing. You only have to look at how he explodes in rage simply for being disagreed with. That makes him feel inferior, so he lashes out to feel superior again. His mind won't let him believe that he is wrong, so the other person has to be wrong. It would be interesting to see his response to meeting another foreigner who he views as being "more Thai" than him (lived in Thailand longer, better at speaking Thai, more Thai friends, etc.). I wonder if he would become enraged and say how the guy is "up himself", or if he would try desperately to ingratiate himself with the "more Thai" foreigner.
