Does anyone know if either of these two crossings are possible and about onward travel or just the general area?

Flooding not too bad here is si sa ket, but saw a video of siem reap, looks real bad.

There is no flooding here in Surin. I was at Osmach last week no problems. After crossing and into Cambodia Im unable to help you with that.

No problems in Chong Jom. I was just there on Friday (last) for my 90 day report.

Eirher route will be fine on the Thai side and no hassle at the border. It has been dry and sunny for several days now in southern SiSaket province and more sunshine is forecast for next week. Suspect the same has and will apply to southern Surin province since its only 150 k from us and tends to share similar weather systems. Highway 24 (the main road running along the southern borders of Surin and Si Saket and from which those two borders are only a 30k drive has been easily passable throughout the later brutal stages of the rains and was no problem when I did a return journey along it, coming back 4 days ago. There were no indications at either junction between highway 24 and these two border roads that there would be any problems with either of the border posts, or access thereto

The issue is only the roads in Cambodia. Choam SaNgam/Anlong Veng has a good road in terms of surface and speed to get to Siem Reap ... 100 minutes in normal conditions, I do not know whether it is currently flooded (I remember spotting some areas on travelling that road earlier in the rainy season where water levels were closish to the road surface). I have no observations on the road journey from Chong Jom to Siem Reap - they used to say on traveller websites that it is a cr@p road and a longer journey to Siem Reap than from Choam Sa Ngam/Anlong Veng, but the Cambodians have probably improved that road too in recent years.

My advice is:

Go to the Cambodian expat website, Khmer440, and see if they have posted there, or post your own question

In the absence of perfect information I would use Choam Sa Ngam, because it is a shorter journey on the Cambodian side and the good weather we have been getting here in SiSaket has been coming from that direction!
