I have a meeting this weekend in Phuket. My boss said he would pay for the flights, then when i quoted him the Bkk airways prices he quickly changed his mind :realangry:

I'll have to take the ferry/bus. The thing is i really don't want to spend all day Friday being swapped around from minibus to bigbus to tour office to minibus to tour office ect...

I've read some older posts saying both good and bad things about the Pantip service. Anyone traveled with them recently?

Also found some older posts about the Thai government (big bus) No.999 from Nathon bus station. Sounds like that might be both the fastest and cheapest option at the same time. Where is the bus station in Nathon?

Anyone done this trip recently? Good/bad experiences?

Thanks

Th bus station in Nathon is under reconstruction, it's on the right side 200 meters coming from one way road towards immigrations.

They have sales offices in Chaweng and Lamai, where they will pick you up.

The sales office in Chaweng is almost across street from the PTT station, go from PTT station and at the first ATM.

Sombat bus sales office is further down at the crossing towards leamdin market.

The bus station in Nathon has now moved.

It is on the left side as you enter Nathon from Ban Makham opposite the car ferry waiting area, big white building with a Family Mart at the end.
