Grand Palace, Chinatown & Siam Square Flood Conditions

Featured Replies

Is Grand Palace and Chinatown still flooded ? Is the water residing or still the same compared to few days ago ?

Has Phyathai, Siam Square and MBK been flooded ?

I believe the area around the palace suffers some flooding due to the high tides only.

The other areas are dry at this point and time.

there are lots of photos of Chinatown with a foot of water, but I think it drains pretty quick .

this was on the main "gold shop" street Yarawat , the river is very close to that area.

Walked from Hua Lampong train station toward Chinatown Saturday morning at 10:00 and the road (Chaoroen Krueung??) was about 6" deep. Walked back at 1:00 and the water was gone. Enjoyed a couple of hours of scrounging in the markets with no water issues at all. I just walked up a higher elevation parallel street to get there.
