On a more serious note, this concoction of drugs, prescription or not, could have had extremely serious consequences for the men they were given to. I would hope the sentence given, would reflect that, but somehow I don't think it will.

I agree, the money or valuables take second place to the dangers these drugs could have caused to the recipients.

Although safe under prescription from a doctor, they would be prescribed only after the doctor had questioned the patients about allergies and many other things eg. prostate problems.

To think that thay were dished out by drug-illiterate bar-girls for gain is frightening.

Where did they find out about these drugs? Where did they get them from. There is something cynically knowledgeable about this.

With all due respect a fair % of those so called "ladies" are indeed low lives, scammers, creatures, and misc. assorted nasties. Where there is prostitution, drugs, alcohol and cash there is criminality, that is a simple fact. Referring to a fair % of them it is hard to believe they want money for sex I think perhaps a better rouse would be some nominal tip for not having sex with them.

I have no sympathy for sex tourists, whatever it is they lose. If it's money, it's money they don't need anyway.

This is probably the same attitude as the police. Yet, they have no scruples when it comes to their share of the profits and the revenues these tourists bring in.

to get their patrons high to obtain more drinks and also using for personal use. I wasn't aware of any dire consequences but

They seemed to have easy obtainable access to these drugs from local less responsible pharmacies without any prescriptions

i've tried xanax plenty before as i'm a bit of a nervous flyer

and one time when i was flying to china i did indeed just walk into a pharmacy in chiang mai and buy them over the counter.

also i usually took about 5 or 6 (1mg) when flying and while i'd get 'very very relaxed and very happy' i rarely fell asleep, sometimes i would have also had one or two beers too waiting in the airport.

but i'd imagine if you'd been on the booze heavy all day and then consumed (spiked with) these tablets, on top of the other tablets the bg's gave (which i've never heard of)

it's not only dangerous for possible serious liver damage but could easily be fatal.

sickening... and just imagine what would happen in another country if a man did this to a woman...

There are no laws protecting foreigners.

They may exist on paper, but I have never seen any enforced.
