Firstly, I personally recommend people not to visit the Tiger Temple as there have been many issues there ranging from the fact the tigers are drugged, treatment of the tigers, money queries, to deaths of numerous tigers. None of which you'll read on tourist sites.

There is a thread somewhere in the sub-forum you can search for more info and you can read online for various views. The temple is 40kms from Kanchanaburi and you can catch a bus or mini-van going to Sangkhlaburi there.

Secondly, the journey between the two locations you want is not direct and will involve some back tracking. There would be no Intercity buses doing that direct route.

Either you take a bus from the Southern bus terminal to the floating market and back and then go to Kan (or get off at Phetkasem rd before the bus terminal and take a slow bus to Kan via Nakhon Pathom) or a BMTA bus 78 (?? need to check the number but someone on TV will know) from inner Bangkok, west side of the river. There may also be a local slow bus from Samut Songkram up the 325 road towards Nakhon Pathom.

Most likely, your easiest option is just Southern Bus station to market and back again , then bus to Kan. This is however, a very time consuming option.

There is however a mini van from Hua Hin to Kanchanaburi ( 5 times a day) which stops in Ratchaburi city, it is the most direct and quickest for what you want. (Check on the Hua HIn forum for departure times from HH). Terminates at Kanchanaburi bus station. Take you about 1.5hrs. This will save you a good 2-3 hrs from the buses to and from southern bus terminal. The vans are much quicker.

However, to get from the floating market to Ratchaburi city itself may be difficult I think, I don't really know. I suspect there would be some sawngthaew or local bus from Damoen Saduak but I do not know.

At least you have until Feb to work it out a bit more!

I know and respect LG for his transpo-help, but here is too difficult making.

1. you do NOT need to know/worry any bus NRS-staff will always point the right one-and till you are in you will be asked a million times pai nai=where you go. at ANY busstation out of BKK. the tipical tourist routes always have also english destinations-somewhere.

2.the very best way FROm DS to Kan is: take same bus back to BKK as fas as Nakorn Pathom-cross road-near big chedi and await any Kan-bound bus. Both legs ev 20/25/30 mins daytime. Saves you 1 change and meddling around.
