Travel By Car To Huahin

Featured Replies

Hi,

There is so much information posted about flooded areas that I'm finding it hard to locate what I need to know. I live On Nut Bangkok and plan to travel to Hua Hin by car in couple of days for a short holiday. Does anyone know if there are problems with the roads between here and there? Any relevant info is much appreciated. Thanks.

No it's fine, get on the express way and come off at Rama 2 to Samut Sakhon > Samut Songkhram > Phetchaburi etc, the usual way.

Three Property

Flooding to reach Rama II in 2 days......you may not be able to go after that happens......

Yes it seems Rama 2 may flood according to one expert in a report today;

The government should prepare alternative routes of transport and logistics to the South as Rama II Road is expected to be flooded within three days, Seri Supparathit, a Rangsit University expert on natural disasters, said yesterday.

Thus you may wish to leave sooner rather than later if you can. With Phetkasem being flooded if Rama 2 goes all south traffic will end up being a 2-3hr journey into and out of BKK on whatever route is available.

This map may aslo be useful to monitor but dependent on social media inputs;
