I'll be in Bangkok Friday and need to run a couple of errands in the area around the Mo Chit BTS station. Any one know the current flood status, if any, in the area? I know it may change by Friday but the current status would be useful.

Thanks.

I was there the day before yesterday the water is only in one lane the rest of the area is dry I traveled all the way out to the antique market and there was no flooding. The only place I saw it was on Sapan qui.

I work around Sun Towers, but did not go to work today, but bumped into a colleague he waded in above knee level water around the area, not sure if he meant at Sun Towers or Mochit. And it took a long time to get there, dependant on where you are coming from.

Thanks for all the information buys.

Luckily, I will only have to go downstairs at the Mo Chit BTS station and about half a block to the camera store. Shouldn't be too big a deal. Still, it is better to know than not know.

From where do buses leave now ?

For NOW-untill further announcement MOCHIT. READ please-plans are for later IF, not now. However, many roads into Mochit are partly flooded-your friendly taxidriver will know

12 hr old update but most likely still valid. Call The Transport Company number at Mo Chit to confirm.

Buses to North, Northeast continue

The Nation November 10, 2011 1:09 am

Despite flooding, Transport Co has continued providing bus services to the North and the Northeast from Bangkok's Mor Chit 2 bus terminal.

Motorists heading for the bus terminal have been advised to use the Rama 6 Road to Kamphaeng Phet 2 Road or use the expressway to Kamphaeng Phet 2 Gate, or use Rama 7 and Ratchawipa Road before doing a U-turn at the kilometre-11 marker to reach Kamphaeng Phet 2 Road. The bus services will be available until flooding makes it impossible. Transport Co has already set up two back-up stations at Pathum Thani's Pratunam-Phra In for buses heading North and Suvarnabhumi Airport for those heading to the Northeast until November 20.
