KRS1
Why are the shwarmas, kabobs and gyros always made out of chicken in thailand, dry and salty. And why is the pita bread always more like a tortilla than anything else, seems more like a burrito. Even using pork would be a big step up, or even using sour cream or yogurt instead of that while mystery sauce that taste more like water. Whats so hard about getting it right? Or are they just being cheap?
RabC
Probably because Kebabs and whatever those other things are that you mention come from Muslim countries, they would normally be chicken, lamb or goat, the last two being in short supply in Thailand. Asking for a pork kebab is like asking for a kosher pork pie. Edited November 8, 2011 by RabC

DP25
Some street kebab places have beef, but yeah most only have chicken. Many Thais don't eat beef or lamb and Muslims don't eat pork so chicken is the only thing everyone can eat.
