Hello.

I live in Ban Pong, Ratchaburi, normally about 1.5 to 2 hours from Bangkok by van. I am wondering what my options are to travel to Chiang Mai ( bus or train ?) for arrival in Chiang Mai early Friday morning, 11 November at the latest and possibly the afternoon of Thursday 10 November. Sorry I don't know more about the locations and accessibility of things at this time.

Thanks,

Tom

trains running to Chiang Mai via long diversion round central flood areas from Bangkok Hua lamphung. At present anyway and accepting online bookings.

route info here

online booking here

From what I know buses are doing the same involving long detours but pretty hideous journey times stuck in a bus seat.

Good luck.
