What airline is the best option for domestic flights these days?
So if such a minor inconvenience is so unacceptable to you, I would have thought the hassle of finding a normally well overpriced sandwich shop ( not always an option at domestic airports here) and then having to settle for the rubbish they provide would have been unthinkable, I would have put money on you making your own -

What you somewhat disingenuously failed to note in your quoted excerpt above regarding 2016 statistics was the sentences that preceded it: "The [Obama] enforcement priorities and policies, which evolved over the years, represented a significant departure from those of the Bush and Clinton administrations. As detailed below, the Obama-era policies represented the culmination of a gradual but consistent effort to narrow its enforcement focus to two key groups: The deportation of criminals and recent unauthorized border crossers." If an administration starts out with the premise that "criminals" are one of only two groups that they're going to target for deportation, then it's hardly surprising that high numbers of its deportation cases for that particular period in fact involved criminals. But, the BBC above (Sept.28) gave more current data that's probably more meaningful and representative of reality: "Of the 1.5 million apprehensions of people crossing the border illegally so far this financial year - and where Border Patrol was able to check against law enforcement databases - about 15,608 were of people with previous criminal convictions. The most common conviction was for illegal entry into another country (9,545), followed by driving under the influence (2,577), and drug possession and trafficking offences (1,414)." https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c0jp4xqx2z3o By my math, that works out to about a 1% rate of prior criminal convictions based on the above numbers, with the largest number being illegal entry into another country (which would hardly be surprising given the population involved here). Not quite the ginned up, fake immigrant crime wave that Trump and Co. and trying to sell.... -

How to retire in Thailand
Sounds like someone trying to "cope with" / "trick their mind" into thinking other people find satisfaction in the same things - and push up their ego by feeling superior. I've lived big/small, high/low floors, etc - here and my home-country - and it never made a difference to me. Any "improvements" on such superficialities were only EVER made to satisfy a woman's desires. Are there "must haves"? Fresh-air is a must. A sea-view, and can walk to the ocean is nice. Bangkok is a fun place to live, but the air-quality and heat-island effect (hot all night) are not to my taste. YMMV. The most important thing is what occupies my time / mind, and who with. If THOSE suck, so does everything else. Every year of my life wasted doing things I didn't enjoy for money was a waste of life - aside from saving to quit for good - and I definitely would advise anyone NOT to waste more of their irreplaceable and unknown-quantity life-years to have a "bigger room." -

There is many more I could have mentionend through my time, especially when younger, but Pink Floyd at age 12 got me places I never had been before, both the tunes and the lyrics. But again, so many to mention, so I will not start. There where a few before as well, especially Jumping Jack Flash with Rolling Stones the very first one track I remember in English, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Jimmi Hendrix, and so many more, but at 12 I discovered Pink Floyd, and that changed my music taste totally. Next big new realation for me was KLF and Faitless with electronic, acid house, techno, hip hop, later I came more in to Pop, Jazz, Music to me memories of people, girl friends, travels, places, death of friends and I can go back in time just listening at songs. First time I heard Faitless and Insomnie, I remember the whole eveing what happenend. Great memories -

Plan for a better retirement... why didn't they think about that? Unfortunately for a lot of people their retirement funds are more or less thrust upon them
