I would like to know the prices of hotels and restaurants in BKK and Pattay.

Are there hotels with prices of about 350B?

How about eating? For simple meals, how much it would take for one person if I eat in regular food place?

There are places for 350 Baht...not great places mind you....here's one for 500 Baht single room....here.

Eat street food and you'll never spend more than 100 Baht on a meal.

Pattaya has plenty of places for 350 Baht...I shudder at the memory....

Generally it is easier to find cheap rooms far away from the beach.

You can try the search engine hotelscombined dot com. They have rooms from around 350 Baht. But many smaller guest houses will not be found via search engines.

If you choose to spend a bit more than the 350 Baht you mentioned then this place is good. Great location and friendly staff. Not a place to stay if you are into the bar girl scene though as they frown on overnight guests.

Otherwise its a bargain. Book early as it fills up quick.

Keep in mind that it is high season right now, so all prices will be up. I just got back from Phi Phi and rooms were over 1000 that would have normally been 500 during any other time of year. If you aren't afraid to walk around for a few hours and ask several places, you will find one eventually, but it will be farther out or just above the noisiest club around. Don't expect TV or Air-Con at that price. If you do a shared hostel type room, you can get for that price or lower. Sometime it fun to stay in these types because you'll meet a lot more peeps this way. When you stay alone an travel alone, sometimes its hard to engage other travelers unless your drunk at a bar, but you can't really sit down at someones table and eat lunch with them without getting a smack across the back of your head and a verbal response like, get the F out of here. In a hostel, you'll meet friends easily and can travel and eat together and save money and have a better time. Make sure u sleep with all of your valuables on you. (Sleep with your pants on and leave the money and stuff i your pockets or wear those little passport holders things wrapped around your neck and tucked under your shirt. Don't worry about your underwear or anything. Your trip will me much more memorable if you met some good mates along the way. Being alone and not really talking to others may be your thing if your just trying to relax and clear the mind. Local thai food on the streets, can be as low as 25 baht - 50 baht. 100 baht and you can for sure get a couple things and walk away with a full stomach. Indoor restaurants of decent mid-range quality will set you back 200 baht or so. If you don't drink much, at least at the bars anyway, you can get by on 15-20 USD a day, but only a few will be happy with this. Give yourself 50 bucks a day budget and you'll be just fine. Have a good time. Id suggest going to khao earn rd in bkk if you're a newbie here. If u need the beach and wanna keep it cheaper, try chonburi rather than pattaya. If you looking to meet girls, then pattaya for sure. BKK Khao Sarn is good for meeting birds too. if you have a couple weeks or more, than go to both. The bus to get to and fro is cheap. Have a good time and be weary of exalts just as much as the locals. duck tape everything to your chest that you don't want to lose and don't ever leave anything in your hotel that worth more than 100 baht:)

Another high roller comes to Thailand....whistling.gif

Hey, give the guy a break.

One day he might be the CEO of a large company! He will remember the fact that people in Thailand helped him out and come back and visit the place again.

There were times when I stayed in a 350 baht a night place, and times when I stayed in a 16,000 baht a night place. At least in the budget price range his money is probably going to local people. Not to big international organisations that take their profits overseas.B)

wow, thank you for your sharing. it is very kind of you. and it would be good for a new comer. hahhh...

i do like to live in the share-room hotel, 'coz i may get to know new people. but isn't there any locked cabin for keep private things?

and you said it is suggested not leave anything more than 100bat in the hotel if you are away. why? hotel staff will enter the room?

can i leave my passport in the hotel, if i live alone? will someone easily break in and take it away?

you said in Bkk Khao Sarn Rd, it is good for meeting birds. what do you mean by birds?

Thanks.
