Soft Surface For Children'S Playground

I am looking to put a sotf(ish) surface on a children's play area. In Thailand they are usually just tarmac or sand, neither of which is really ideal. In the west they are commonly made from ground down old car tyres reformed to create something that looks like tarmac, but is soft and springy.

Where can I source such a thing in Thailand (Chiang Mai area ideally)? Do you have any other good ideas what we could surface the playground with? The area I am looking at covering is around 100 M2. The surace should idealy be washable, not cost the earth, and not easily become a cat toilet like sand does!

Any ideas?

There is a form of rubber matting used for doormats which has a solid back and is about 5mm thick with a matted surface. It seems fairly hard wearing and may be suitable. I have bought som in Chiangrai but I think I have also seen something like that in big rolls in the homepro in BigC on the HangDOng Road.
