Non Immigrant "O" For Visiting A Friend Still Available In Europe?

Hello everybody,

After reading various suggestions today i asked a one Year Non immigrant "O" on the basis of visiting a friend to the Thai consulate in Amsterdam.

I had an invitation letter and copy of thai id from a friend but the visa was refused anyway.

My question: is it still possible to receive the Non immigrant "O" on the basis of visiting a friend in any consulate/embassy in Europe?

I read some recent report that even Hull is not issuing them anymore.

If not where is it easier to receive a 6 months/triple entry tourist visa?

The option of visiting a friend is no longer available anywhere.

Hull do issue Triple Entry Tourist Visas.

"Cardiff is extremely friendly" it means maybe i could get a 1 year visa for visiting a friend there?

otherwise i will try a triple tourist by post in Hull

If you are not in UK, you can not use by post method any more in Hull..

an update:

i called den haag (capital of the netherlands where i live) and they confirmed they will issue a triple tourist visa

they requested a plane ticket and a return ticket or alternatively a signed letter of intent to leave thailand before the end of the 6 months

this brings me to another question:

will the 6 months start exactly on the day the visa is issued or can i request it to start from my plane ticket date?

The triple-entry tourist visa will be valid for three entries into Thailand from the date of issue of the visa. If you make your third and last entry immediately before the expiration of the visa, you will again be given permission to stay for 60 days, which you can optionally extend by 30 days. If this is what you plan to do I suggest that you explain it this way in your confirmation letter to the consulate to justify your planned date of leaving of Thailand.
