Lunar Eclipse

Featured Replies

For probably the last time until mid 2014 we have a grandstand view of a lunar eclipse (earth's shadow moving across the moon) happening right now. The moon should vanish completely at about 10pm Chiang Mai time.

So put down the bottle of Chang Export and squint up into the sky, well worth the effort.

Typical, should have kept quiet. The clouds have just rolled in and the 1/4 slither of moon has vanished! Sorry folks.

Hopefully the clouds will move on in the next 60 minutes so we get to watch the total eclipse happening.

great at Mae Rim

just about gone now.

frog has eaten the moon!

Perfect here east of the city. Thanks for the reminder, had forgotten. Though I would prefer some cloud & rain, 'cos the farmers have been choking us the last week or so

Clouds cleared up enough over here at Nimmanheiman to get a good view of the eclipse in its wedding ring mode.

But then it's gone. Like my beer.

Folks around my Moo Ban came out and start slapping their wallet against the eclipse believing it will helps thicken it.

:o

One year before the proposed end of the world in 2012, there is a lunar eclipse.

Kinda freaky.
