Steak At Tops[The Lack Of It]

Featured Replies

for over 25years i have been buying my steak from tops, sirlion and rib eye,the last three times i have been unable to get more than half a kilo, twice at rachada[inside robinsons] and monday this week tops in pattaya, the first two had nothing to do with the floods,feb./aug.has anyone else had the same problem,i try and buy aprox.5kilo's at a time.so if there is anyone from central foods reading this would you be so kind and explain.:jap:

Tops was going downhill very fast.

Set up by Ahold company a dutch company running Albert Hein stores, been taken over by Central few years ago seems they have difficulties with quality and quantity even as general running of there stores( opening and refill on time, HACCP control, cleaning and staff attendance.

I know that they got some new knowledgeable people on board so hope that will change.

For the moment Foodland and Villa Market to purchase my fresh food items.

Getting supplies on the shelves has been extremely difficult for Tops (and all the other stores under the Central name) since the flooding hit their central distribution centre north of Bangkok. And, when a product finally appears it disappears from the shelves almost as quickly as it goes on because people tend to stock up on a product when they know it is in short supply.

It will probably take months and months before the supply chain is back to normal for this particular chain. Other than diet soda's, it seems that Top's competitors have ample stock of almost everything.
