POLICEMAN WAS ARRESTED SELLING DRUGS IN AYUTTHAYA

Police officers in AYUTTHAYA (อยุธยา) Province have arrested a policeman selling narcotics in the province last night.

Police Corporal THANONG LEKJAMPA (จำนง เล็กจำปา) was arrested with 100 methamphetamine pills along with Ms. PINNAPHA THASSAWADEE (ปิ่นนภา ทัศวดี), Mrs. PHIMPHILAI MAITHONG (พิมพ์พิไล ไหมทอง), and Mr. SURASIT KIJJARAK (สุรสิทธ์ กิจจารักษ์).

AYUTTHAYA Provincial Police Commander WARAWUTH PHUKPRAYOON (วราวุธ พุกประยูร) revealed that the team that conducted the arrest had contacted Pol. Cpl. THANONG to buy the methamphetamines at 180 baht a pill. The policeman had sent his three arrested accomplices to deliver the drugs behind a kindergarten. 50 tablets were found inside the pockets of the arrested people while 100 more were found hidden under the driver's seat of the pickup truck they have used. Police have confiscated the pickup truck to further check whether it was illegally obtained.
