The body of a diamond-shop owner was found inside his sports car near Rama III Road in Bangkok's Yan Nawa district, police said yesterday.

Police inspected the car parked near Wat Pariwas after being alerted at 8pm, and found the body of 30-year-old Hamad "Tommy" Muhammad, the owner of a diamond-jewellery shop on Silom Road.

The body was on the driver's seat with a gunshot to the right temple. Police also discovered four spent .38-calibre pistol cartridges and two unused bullets nearby. They also reportedly found some yaba, crystal meth and drug-taking tools in the car's console and 250 bullets for a 9mm pistol in the trunk.

A car-park employee said the vehicle had been there since 10pm Thursday, but he did not check it because he assumed it was the landlord's son. He said that at around 1am, he saw a tall, thin man walk out of the car park. Upon waking up the next morning, he noticed the Mercedes-Benz with the body inside and alerted the police. Investigators suspect a business, romantic or drug conflict as motive for the death.

In related news, Phubet Khotbua, a repossession official, with Thammasirirat Law - was shot dead at 10.40pm on Thursday near the Prawetburirom Bridge in Bangkok's Suan Luang district.

The victim was on the back of a motorcycle driven by co-worker Noppadol Suk-anan towards Seacon Square.

Noppadol said he heard a gunshot before they got on the bridge and then he heard another shot before he felt a bullet graze his helmet.

Soon after, he heard Phubet saying he had been hit, he heard another gunshot and felt the passenger fall off is bike.

So far, the gunman and motive remain unknown.

During the war on drugs in which police executed over 3,000 people, they would always place a gun and some drugs at the scene before inviting compliant members of the press to take photos.

Great response time there by the BiB.

The reason why that incident is related? Probably because it's in the same article. Good going, Nation hacks!

Too bad Natalie Wood didn't drown in Thailand. Robert Wagner wouldn't be going through all this hassle again. Like the 21 YO Norwegian girl who died of a congenital heart defect after partying on a super yacht....yeah...of course...congenital defect seems plausible.

As I read it, He noticed the car after waking up in the morning, then notified the police at 8pm.

No doubt he spent the afternoon removing the sound systemlaugh.png

It seems the left out the "Robbery" as a motive. Also I question the 38 cal. spent shell and two unfired 38 cal. bullets at the scene, 99% of 38 cal. handguns are revolvers so why would there be a spent shell left at the scene much less two bullets? Also, if there were 250 9 mm rounds in the truck/boot of the car which most likely belonged to the victim, where is the victim's 9mm weapon?

diamonds, drugs.

LIVE BY THE SWORD.

DIE BY THE SWORD.

Drugs and arms yes. But diamond is a honest commodity, why do you have to die by the sword

The cops forgot to mention accidental death or suicide due to congenital heart disease. That should just about cover all possibilities for death. Well done Sherlock's.

How about the felt a bullet go by his helmet.

One sensitive helmet.
