If anyone has answers for these questions I would be grateful.

I am working for a company which is giving me a workpermit. I went to KhatoBaru 2 months ago to apply for my NON-B Multientry, but only got a single entry, because I didnt have a workpermit yet. When I came back to Thailand to apply for my workpermit they only granted me workpermit that will expire the same day that my VISA is expiring. I am going back to either Paneng or KhatoBaru within 2 weeks to apply for my NON-B Multi now that I have my workpermit, but here is the question. Will there be a problem getting it because my workpermit is expiring within 1 month? It feels like a catch 21...

Thankful for any answers...

You are not likely to receive more than a single entry. You should be extending your stay at Immigration rather than obtaining new visas. Did your company say they are too new to provide such paperwork or is your salary too low? Believe you would need at least 8 months on work permit to get multi entry at most local consulates - normally that is provide to business travelers rather than those working in Thailand.

Not sure why the Work Permit was locked into the 'Permitted to Stay Until' date on your last 90 day entry.

It may be possible to extend your stay within Thailand at your local Thai Immigration dept; that is assuming you/your company/your job meets the extension criteriae.

If you do a visa run now, the best you will get is another 90 day single entry non immigrant B.

As regards Penang, they require 8 Million Company Capitalisation and KL require 8 months WP validity, I don't know what Khota Bharu are currently doing.

Nowadays Work Permits are normally issued related to work contract expiry dates, also the nature of your work may influence your WP expiry (e.g. renewal date for professional membership, etc).

Work Permits may be valid for a period of one year or more, with the validity period independant of your visa expiry date.

If you cannot extend your visa within Thailand, then a better approach would be to renew your WP before your visa run; then with a WP with 8+ months of validity and the correct paperwork you should be ok for a one year multiple entry non immigrant B at KL .
