Jatuporn still under review

The pre-trial review of the qualifications of Pheu Thai MP Jatuporn Promphan might take a while to complete, delaying the case's arrival at the Constitution Court, House Speaker Somsak Kiartsuranont said yesterday.

He said he had yet to receive a report from the Election Commission, which ruled to disqualify Jatuporn on grounds that he had questionable party membership when he registered his candidacy to contest the July 3 general election.

The EC had already forwarded its ruling on the Jatuporn case to the House Speaker's Office, which is responsible for petitioning the high court for a mandatory review.

Is the House Speaker lying or is the EC lying?

mai bpen rai...forget the pesky paperwork, he would have won anyway.

Ummm, yes, that is exactly the plan. Forget/lose/misplace/delay/damage the paperwork, anything but let the appropriate judicial body make a decision. And if it comes to that, have a few thousand of his mates outside the court threatening to dismember the judges if the decision doesn't go the "right" (as in "red") way.

No one is lying...it's ,in the House speakers office just like the EC say.. it's just that he hasn't been given it by his office staff. accountability.

I have spoken to my neighbors here in town as well as up north and it seems all agree that the EC must resend it.

The speaker will have to read it and if he dosen't he can say he did not receive it.

Look in the top drawer of his secretary's desk. It is in the envelope marked open in 2020
