Process In Thai For Hiring A Volunteer English Teacher

Featured Replies

Guys,

Can somebody please supply a link that has the process of hiring a volunteer teacher in the Thai language.

Thanks

B

I have no idea about a link, but if the teacher is to work in a regular school (under the MOE), they will need the proper visa--non immigrant B, or non-immigrant O (not retirement). They will need to get a Teacher's License or waiver and a work permit.

The same regulations apply for a volunteer as they do for a paid employee.

As Scott says, basicly the same rule apply as for working.

He needs the correct visa to be issued a Work Permit, and get an extension of stay from immigration. It is not that difficult, but requires some paperwork.

Like: letter form education office, letter from school director, forms to be filled in for the labour office, copy of degree, etc. Since forms from teh labour office are required, they might first want to talk to the labour office to get the forms and see what other documents are required. Basicly the same will be required for immigration.

For a visa it depends on where the volunteer will apply for one, In Asia or Europe/USA.

Sorry but the topic says teaching Thai Language, so it might be difficult unless they are at a very good level, Thai teachers teach Thai, not foreigners, but then again it depends on who they are teaching and where

I think the OP is asking for a link to a site in Thai that concerns employing a volunteer English teacher.

yes reading it again it seem the OP does want the rules in thai.

Best place is the Ministry of Education website or the Ministry of Labour.
