jamesbrock Posted February 6, 2012 Share Posted February 6, 2012 Yesterday while riding from Choengmon to Chaweng at about 4:30, we had to pull over as a police motorcade came at us from Chaweng. There was a police motorbike, a police car, a silver 7 Series BMW, a police minivan, and a police pickup - all with lights flashing. They must have stopped all the traffic as they came down from the lake road, as riding along Chaweng beach road immediately afterwards was like riding through a ghost town! I doubt it is anyone worth knowing. probably some bigwig in the police dept. down for a break and as it is midday more than likely the escort is to take him to lunch. They usually 'clean' the roads for royalty. Also, you tend to get the Bib on every street corner. The flags are probably for the Plai Laem temple fair on the 11th. Mistaken Identity. never mind they managed to gain face by laughing afterwards.
