I do not anticipate this will make much diference to the visa application process but there will be a change of management at the top.

I for one feel better with the Border Force removed from the mismanagement of the UKBA. It is probably a forlorn hope but perhaps this may herald the start of better management for both the Border Force and Visa processing!

The average processing time for ILR for a spouse has gone from 4 weeks in 2007 to 16 weeks or more in 2011/12.

In reality I suspect it will just result in more chaos but at least they can blame the reorganisation for the poor performance. The UKBA management are a disgrace at so many levels.
