August 28, 201213 yr Maybe you can bring your own bread to amazing sandwich (at the risk of them dropping it on the floor and stepping on it in the kitchen by accident on purpose)? There's a subtle message in there, methinks. Yes, Don't insult the chef's ingredients by bringing your own or suffer the consequences! I suspect this is universal
August 28, 201213 yr Some of the bakeries in town have sandwiches (the one by smith is great) and butter is better makes a good sandwich. What/where is Smith? The Smith Residence and I mean the bakery around the corner - Baan something but usually just called the Japanese Bakery as I believe the boss is a Japanese woman. Not much choice in sandwiches - I think they have 2, but they're good. EDIT: Smith is a block or so below the south part of the moat right off of the Chiang Mai Gate. The bakery is on the road down to the Chiang Mai gate hotel on the left on the corner right after the big motorbike rental place. Edited August 28, 201213 yr by HappyInCM

Cost was about 100 Bt but depends on the bread. And many more things I will want to try in time I will be back
