The Leader

The Leader

In the spirit of brotherhood and goodwill among all men (and women), what with the Christmas season upon us, here’s a poem about leadership that is non-controversial and neutral and can be agreed upon among all men (and women) of good faith.

The Leader

Patient and steady with all he must bear,

Ready to meet every challenge with care,

Easy in manner, yet solid as steel,

Strong in his faith, refreshingly real.

Isn't afraid to propose what is bold,

Doesn't conform to the usual mould,

Eyes that have foresight, for hindsight won't do,

Never backs down when he sees what is true,

Tells it all straight, and means it all too.

Going forward and knowing he's right,

Even when doubted for why he would fight,

Over and over he makes his case clear,

Reaching to touch the ones who won't hear.

Growing in strength he won't be unnerved,

Ever assuring he'll stand by his word.

Wanting the world to join his firm stand,

Bracing for war, but praying for peace,

Using his power so evil will cease,

So much a leader and worthy of trust,

Here stands a man who will do what he must.

What a load of crap..

In the holiday spirit already are we? :D

OK I'll chill out and rephrase that.

Pass the sick bag

Merry Xmas :o

Another Secularist I see...employing "Xmas" as opposed to the true "Christmas" :D

That poem was all over the news (in Swedish media at least), as it was included in Pakistan's school books, but it turns out the initials of each line form the words 'President George W Bush' which a lot of people thought was going over the top with the pro-US propaganda.

I am stopping you there, this is definitely not GW Bush

Impatient Crying baby who throws tantrum when he doesn't have it his way (Iraq)

Incapable of meeting any challenge and just give up too early (social security, capture of Osama)

Dry drunk who can't ride a bycicle without falling or eat a donut without choking. Clumsy NASCAR fan in all his glory when he is drunk.

What Hallmark wanna be did you get this crap from, Boon?
