He's back.

Even inflated numbers means nothing in a population of 70 million.

Stuff as many red shirt clowns as you want into your clown car, it doesn't matter. Communism is a dead horse.

Dismissing this political block is done at the Opposition's peril.

That is why they are sitting on the political, electoral sidelines where they belong.

Until an inclusive mentality takes over by all political sectors, only elections will keep order, relegating the minority, and elevating the majority into governance.

Not complicated.

The next flood will flush the red cult out to sea.

Be an independent thinker, fail to do so at your peril.

Imagine if the Democrats had one, allowing people to promote themselves, who are not aloof elitists like Abhi with R'song murder baggage, The publicity they would receive through such a process would go a long way to making the Party more competitive

Cant help it can you?

You come up with the same BS every time.

There is only one man responsible for all the murder and arson during the red demos and that is the most aloof elitist of them all Khun Thaksin..

PS

You dont come from Amsterdam by any chance?

There are accusations being made in The Hague, against those accountable for the R'song murders.

Not against Thaksin.

His only criminality is associated with winning elections.

How many did Jatuporn claiom would turn up - 100'000 + ?

Maybe they weren't paying out enough.

What good is money if you can't buy democracy with it?

wink.png

To reduce the motivations of these people to attend an event of this magnitude to money and not political awareness and objectives, is some more conceited, arrogant ipinionating by Oppositional elements. Who claim unto themselves as being the only purveyors of pure and valid political thinking.

And such arrogance rightfully puts them on the sidelines

Hence my comment on this poster having a monopoly on truth. So transparent, eh?

Accusations 'being made' in the Hague? Is that a reference to the report filed with the ICC on January 31st, 2011? With a Pheu Thai MP having gone there in December, 2011 to demand speedy action, or may be not gone there. The ICC doesn't respond to questions on cases filed and either under investigation for acceptance or already rejected. The statute says they need to decide within eight weeks or ask for more info.

At least in one thing you're right. Robert A. working for Amsterdam & Peroff and as representative for the UDD didn't file against k. Thaksin. That would be terribly unpolite, to file against your paymaster laugh.png

Scouse Tommy, #20 above

How do you think the type of person who attended that concert yesterday are going to vote? They will vote the way they are told to vote. Its pseudo-democracy, that employs effective brain washing techniques. All to bring about the return of a virtual dictator!

What is that I have been saying about arrogant, Oppositional types contemptuously dismissing the political motives of the largest political block in the country, while political realities sidelines them for such self-importance demeanor.

These Posts keep confirming it.

Except the Red Shirts are by far not the bigest political block in the country.

Just one of the loudest and the most violent one.

"Inclusive mentality" in a country that, by centuries of Kow Tow training, reveres big men,

and leaders who have beaten down or bought all opposition.

Impossibility, a total wishful thinking delusion.

300,000 is 1/ 250th of the population.

or 0.4 % of the nation.

300 people in each of 1,000 red villages.

Except not all in red villages are for the reds,

they just can't move, and now can't talk freely of what they prefer.

I guess you mean the 1000 new red villages.

Asia correspondent stated this week that there are now 10,260 red shirt villages in Thailand.

so 30 actual reds in each... if you can believe their numbers.

I thought 300 in any village was stretching it.

Plenty of youtube video on the rally, such as

http://youtu.be/mhBjkUuWs_k

As for attendance, it's been noted that the post had 2 articles, one said 30,000 and another said 50,000. AFAIK The Nation has never updated their 10,000 people on the eve of the event. Posters can complain about it all they want, but it's interesting that The Nation is (so far) doing exactly as CalgaryII said they would.

Clearly there were a lot of people. 10,000 is not the right number, obviously.

For those who understand Thai well, there is a lot of footage from the stage and reporting, too. (reporter in this video around 14 minutes, for example.

Was it 10,000 or 30,000 or 50,000? Take your pick according to your preference. But hey, why not go with Calgaryll's reported 500,000 (+/- 200,000)? wacko.png

As with many of these Posts, one can readily see how important it is for coupists to diminish these numbers.

It is embarassing for them.

The number may be accurate but no one seems to be reporting the number you are, and as you have been caught out blatantly lying, or being liberal with the truth you just dont have any credibility.

Why would'nt the redshirts be afraid of another coup. They have refused to "buy" the army as the Dems did with their massive increased budget "backhander" However in the interest of the nation, the redshirt govt immediate reduced this obscene monetary award to the army, reducing them to a more realistic budget. I don't think that the generals appreciated this and would dearly love to turn back the pages e.g. have another coup !

A referendum right now would be democratic and fair....... but not in Thailand at the moment. How do you think the type of person who attended that concert yesterday are going to vote? I agree with some of the posts above, i find it a little bit worrying that we are hearing absolutely nothing from the rival colours. At least if they held a small rally and spewed some rhetoric they would be sticking to form. The silence is a little bit ominous!

Scouse Tommy..........You are quite an annoying and insulting little man ! You are insinuating that the average Thai is not capable of thinking for himself. Well. i have news for you. They are not morons or idiots, they can and will think for themselves irrespective of what you and the Bangkok 'hi-so's' seem to think ! The plain facts are , they are fed up with being walked over and used as slave labour by the controlling rich. The "other colours" are quiet because they know that they are a quite comparatively small minority.............Get it ?

One deputy minister and a few other party-list criminals delaying conviction does not a government make.

IIRC, the military was given more money in the latest budget.

Correct, at least for most, "They are not morons or idiots, they can and will think for themselves........" that is why alternate points of view are seriously deterred from appearing in that part of the world. Remember how they actually preferred the Democrat policies before the last election? How many Democrat canvassers were seen around Udon, Chiang Mai, Sakhon Nakhon, etc.?

They will vote the way they are told paid to vote.

Please note ! the yellow shirts did not need to pay each other, they are mostly rich well off businessmen and have already got plenty of money and power over the masses. However its worth noting , that they gave the army a massive increase in budget as a reward for handing them government...........and guess what , it was'nt even their own bloody money. It is also worth noting that when the redshirts won the elections with a massive majority, one of the first things they did was to reduce this big army "back hander" = Money back to the people !

And who is paying for PTP's populist (but yet to be seen) policies?

I actually have nothing against having a socialist and even a communist party in Thailand but I think as one poster pointed out ... the leaders of the reds pitch a great socialist theme to the lemmings that follow them blindly but in reality their agenda is about lining their own pockets and those of big business at the expense of their followers.

So true.

So ! if any particular party appeals to you and that is the leadership you want, what do you do...........yes, clever lad, you follow it. The fact that there are so many followers only means that this is the party most desired by the people and the fact that the Dems are not after all, "Born to rule"

Yes, those lo-so will think for themselves. However, all they think about is who is going to pay the next 500 Baht (for his/her vote).

Far from the truth, many PAD folks are middle class, more likely to have a bit more education, many just above the survival line.

Plus there are many rich folks who support pt and it's puppet master, and not because of ideology, but because pt policies are good for their own business activities.
