Shengen Visa, Where ? Friendliest ?

I gather I need to get a Shengen Visa for my wife to enter a Scandinavian country on our way back from the UK to Thailand.

The plan is fly to UK stay a few weeks and then stop over in Europe for a week or two on the way back.

I assume a Shengen visa can be obtained from any member Embassy ? so, can anyone recommend a particular Embassy in Bangkok that will process the application etc without any major hassle.

or does it have to be the Embassy of the country you are entering ?

It should be obtained from the country that you will be spending most time in.

If you are only going to one country then it should be obtained from that country.
